New Zealand just had a big snow--
(this really is rare, you should know!)
The kiwis are giddy,
the sights are so pretty,
and everyone's cheeks are a-glow.
Just four to five inches I guess--
it is a big deal nonetheless!
Many snowmen were built,
many snowballs were spilt,
and students forgot all their stress.
The weatherman told us our plight:
a fifty-year record—that's right!

The country's a playground of white!
It's sure hard to dislike the cold
when people think snow is like gold!
Grab hot chocolate and gloves,
keep the heat pump on 'cuz
this winter will oft be retold!
